Welcome to the Nyack Wind Farm website.

This site is a grass-roots movement dedicated to exploring alternatives for energy production and usage within Rockland County. Through promoting community awareness, researching energy economics and working with local leaders we hope to initiate wind turbine projects that will supply clean renewable electricity.

Conventional fossil fuel prices have risen dramatically and greenhouse gas emissions from carbon based energy sources are cause for serious environmental concern. Both of these issues make alternative energy sources an increasingly important part of our economy.
